Description: Detention Basins from the most recent Planning Board files of Site Plans have been traced by the Town of Chelmsford Engineering Division employees. The plans were inserted as images into AutoCAD drawing O:\Engineering\Christina\Drain Mapping\Detention Basins\dwg\Detention Basins.dwg and traced based on Town Base Maps from 1988 located in an AutoCAD drawing location O:\Engineering\projects\GIS-Cadd\2008-drainage.dwg. The detention basins were made into polygons, then object data, then attributes were added to the object data. These polygons were then converted to a shapefile. The mapping took place from October, 2014 to May, 2015 by the Engineering Division Staff. Once Detention Basins are inspected, rebuilt, repaired and/or maintained, this data can be edited to reflect the most current information. The site drains and structures still need to be drawn. Elevations are based on NGVD 1929 or that of the reference plan.
